Frequently Asked Questions

We offer monthly online free art classes. Kids will experience a typical Art Exploration or Fine Art Fundamentals class during which they will complete an art project with an instructor. The class includes a Q&A for parents with a member of our staff. Please check out our schedule and register for the free introductory lesson here.

We currently do not offer free introductory lessons for Advanced Exploration (12+) students. Email info@artmoki.com with questions about our teen programs.

All classes require a device with a webcam and microphone and enough table space in front of the device for art making. The required art supplies differ for each series. To get a list of supply needs for a specific series, go to that series’ webpage.

All Art Moki programs are taught using Zoom. After signing up for a class, you will receive a confirmation email containing a Zoom registration link. Before the first class, use this registration link to register your child and receive the Zoom meeting ID, link and password via email. You only need to register once. The meeting details will remain the same for the duration of the series.

Art Moki does not issue refunds for missed classes. If your child misses a class, you will receive a makeup video link and password via email within a couple hours. If you know in advance your child will miss a class, email info@artmoki.com. We may be able to arrange a makeup.

If for any reason Art Moki is unable to run a class, we will either arrange for all affected students to attend at another time or refund the cost of the class.

We understand your child may need to miss a class. After the missed class, you will receive a makeup video link and password via email within a couple hours. If you know in advance your child will miss a class, email info@artmoki.com. We may be able to arrange a makeup.

Our teachers appreciate students being punctual. Presentations begin 5 minutes after the start of class. Students who arrive more than 7 minutes late will not be let in from the waiting room. We hope this new policy will improve the online experience and allow students more art-making time with their instructor. If your child misses a class, you will receive a makeup video link and password via email.

With virtual learning, students and teachers can experience technical challenges. Teachers may disconnect from class if their internet or power goes out. If a teacher suddenly disappears, wait a moment as he or she tries to reconnect. Be within earshot of your child in case of disconnection or technical issues. If you need assistance, email info@marvegos.com or call (888) 604-1574 for support. We’re ready to help.

All Art Moki instructors are artists with a college degree in fine art. A strong portfolio of work weighs greatly in our selection process. Instructors must also embody qualities that respect the ideas of children and have the ability to communicate with children as well as adults.

All kids are welcome! Our instructors are based in California and classes may be listed in Pacific Time (PST). Try a time zone converter if you are located in a different time zone. We love to meet young artists from all over the world. If you can’t find a class that suits your schedule, contact us to request different class days/times.
